KLAMATH COMMUNITY COLLEGEBUILDING 9 RECEPTION DESK Bids Due 3:00 pm, April 30, 2026 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS1.1 NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by Denise Reid, Vice-President, Administrative Services, Klamath Community College at Building 9 Reception Desk located at 7390 South 6th Street, Klamath Falls, Oregon 97603, until April 30th, 2026 at 3pm for the construction of the Cosmetology Building. Description: In general the project consists of a new Cosmetology Building for Klamath Community College (KCC), designed to support both instructional activities and public salon services. This new 11,000 SF facility will replace the previous KCC cosmetology school building located in Downtown Klamath Falls. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at Klamath Community College, Building 7, Klamath Falls, OR 97603 on April 30th 2026 at 3:10 PM. 1st Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Statements are due at April 30, 2026 at 5:10 PM in order for bids to be considered for award. Bids received after the time fixed for receiving bids cannot and will not be considered. Bids for which the 1st Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Statement is not received by the time fixed cannot and will not be considered. The work for this project shall be executed under a single general construction contract. Only bids submitted in writing on the Bid Form supplied with the Bidding Documents will be considered. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference and project site-visit will be held on April 2nd, 2026 at 3:00 PM, prevailing Local Time at Klamath Community College, Building 6, room 6109, rain or shine. The purpose will be to answer any questions bidders may have, review the scope of work, tour the site, and to consider any suggestions Bidders wish to make. The conference is held for the benefit of bidders. 1.2 BIDDING DOCUMENTS Bidding documents for the work are those prepared by BBT Architects, 1140 SW Simpson Ave., Ste. 200, Bend OR (541) 382-5535. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the following plan centers. The College will not reimburse bidders, subcontractors or suppliers for the cost of reproduction. Bidding Documents will be available for examination during the bidding period at the following Building Exchanges and Plan Centers: Daily Journal of Commerce 921 SW Washington Ste 210 Portland, OR 97205 (503) 274-0624 - Phone (503) 274-2616 - Fax www.djc-or.com OregonBuys 1225 Ferry St. SE Salem, OR 97301 503-378-5797 www.oregonbuys.gov 1.3 PREVAILING WAGES No bid will be received or considered unless the Bid contains a statement by the bidder, as part of the bid, that "Contractor agrees to be bound by and will comply with the applicable provisions of 279C.838, 279C.840." 1.4.1 BID SECURITY No bid will be considered unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified or cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit or surety bond executed by a State-licensed surety company, payable to Klamath Community College in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid together with all additive alternates. No interest will be paid on bid security. Return or retention of bid security shall be subject to the provisions of ORS 279C.385. 1.4.2 REJECTION OF BIDS Pursuant to ORS 279C.395, Klamath Community College may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and may reject all bids if, in the judgement of the College, it is in the public interest to do so. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof and before award of the Contract, unless award is delayed beyond thirty (30) days from the bid opening date.
